Half way to Friyay! There are only a couple more days until the weekend. I am celebrating over here by sharing an engagement session I shot this past weekend!

We originally had scheduled September and James’ engagement session for Saturday evening, but we switched to Sunday morning since it rained all day on Saturday. I was super excited for a sunrise session… until I walked out of my house into the densest fog I’ve ever seen around here! Visibility was basically zero and I knew I wouldn’t be getting that awesome sunlight from the sunrise I had hoped for. BUT we made it work! Shooting in the fog ended up being really beautiful. We ventured around down to the river and back up to capitol square.

Happy Friday! You may remember Kayla and Nick's maternity sessions I did two years ago. Well, I finally got to meet Baby Brantley in the spring for his six month photos and a little family session! This babe is such a little ham!

I met the Strata's at Franklin Park Conservatory for their photos and loved catching up with these guys. Kayla and Nick had just learned they were expecting baby number two in these photos! That's right! I wanted to blog this session today because Baby Brantley is about to be a big brother any day now!

Happy snopocalypse Friday, friends! Since the weather channels are telling us we are going to get a boat load of snow this evening (Or no snow? What? So confused.), I wanted to share with you my first engagement shoot from 2018 because we had snow!

I met up with Kelly & Vince last year to talk about wedding photography and their plans for the big day. Kelly told me I had actually shot her nephew’s senior pictures, which was so cool because when families come back for photos, it is the biggest compliment for me.

Hey everyone! Happy Monday! Meet Alyssa & Jared! These two are originally from Illinois but recently moved to Central Ohio! Jared helped us get that fancy schmancy IKEA store up and running, and for that, we are SO GRATEFUL! haha

For their spring engagement session, we started in good 'ol German Village near downtown and then headed over to Scioto Audubon for some pretty sunset portraits. Alyssa's romper/dress was so pretty... I'm still obsessed with it.

Happy Friday! It's still freezing here in Ohio with single digit temperatures so I am loving sharing some of my spring sessions from 2017! It is helping me remember warmer days are right around the corner... kind of. Just a few more months!

Today I am sharing the Hessel family session! You guys... this family means so much to me. For a long while there was a piece of my heart that was missing. Many of you know my neighbor passed away a few years ago, a couple of months after I got married. She wasn't just a neighbor though. She was like a grandmother to me. We were extremely close. I was devastated, to say the least. I did not get to say goodbye to her - I was too busy, to selfish to see her. I thought she'd come home... but then she did go *home* and I struggled with that for so long. I felt her everywhere, I saw her in everything.

Oh my goodness! I had been looking forward to this spring session and seeing Erica and Zach! I shot their engagement and wedding photos and was beyond thrilled when Erica reached out for maternity portraits!

Erica rocked pregnancy. I mean, look how gorgeous she is in this gown! She and Zach brought along an ultrasound photos and the most precious, soft bunny that when squeezed played the baby's heartbeat! We had to include the bunny in some shots.

True story: I am 27 years old, have lived in Central Ohio my entire life, and I didn't walk across the oval at OSU's campus until this past Spring! Bridget contacted me for college senior portraits. This is totally not a thing in Ohio, but of course I was all about it! Bridget is from New York and she did not do high school senior portraits, so doing them for college was a must! So I think we should make it a thing here, too! I've got an OU senior session coming up this spring and I cannot wait!

My last senior of 2017! Nichole drove all the way down to Columbus from Stow! I told y'all I have the best clients ever!

Not only is she beautiful - her dimply smile reminds me of Ashley Wagner! If you watch ice skating, you'll know who that is! Nichole has some big plans for the future, including going to school to become a nurse practitioner.

Here's Gabby! Oh, I LOVE this girl!!! I actually knew of Gabby before she reached out about senior photos. I Saw her in her high school musical - mom and I had to go - it was 9 to 5! I couldn't get over her talent! She SHINED!

When Gabby showed up for her senior session, I exclaimed - I know you! haha. She is so sweet, yet I love her confidence - this girl is going places! She even got me tickets to another musical she was in - A Christmas Carol! We had so much fun at the show.
