Our final wedding Wednesday of the year is here! And this is one I wasn’t ready for at all, but I am so happy about it! (But also it means I’m officially old now, I think)

I first photographed Savanna as a young teen with her family… then I went on to shoot her senior portraits… and this year, somehow time slipped by, and just like that: Savanna was engaged! WHAT?! I can’t believe I get to shoot her wedding next year and I’m so so so thankful that she reached out to me and has trusted me all of these years with these memories. I’m going to cry buckets during the father/daughter dance, guaranteed.

We are back with another Wedding Wednesday! We are so happy to close out our wedding season with such a wonderful couple! This is our second shooter Mauretta’s sister Athena and a family I know personally from church, so this one meant a lot to me to photograph!

I always put a lot of pressure on myself for each wedding I shoot. I mean, I go into every wedding as if it were my best friend’s big day. I don’t want to miss any detail that you’ve spent so much time planning to perfect. I spent time getting to know you (hello engagement sessions!), asking how you met, genuinely interested in your story. I meet your families and friends and get to sit in this really intimate space on one of the biggest and best days of your life.

We finally fulfilled our dream of shooting at the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium! Cue Toto & bless the rains, because we are jumping into the African Safari this Wedding Wednesday!

We’re back with a gorgeous wedding on the blog today. This day was long awaited due to the pandemic, so we were so excited for Erin & Kyle’s big day to finally arrive! Happy Wedding Wednesday!

When we arrived at the Columbus Sheraton hotel downtown, the girls and guys were getting ready in their separate suites. There was no mistaking the girls’ suite: bridesmaids’ belongings scattered across the room, the smell of hairspray in the air, and music playing in the background. I don’t even think we knocked!

We started off the day at Amber’s parents’ home where the girls were gathered alongside sweet beabull, Bella! Before long, the girls and guys headed off to Cheers Chalet to finish up getting ready for the ceremony. We loved spending time with the girls as they chatted and laughed and teared up when they saw Amber in her dress!

Happy Wedding Wednesday! I cannot believe it is the first week of June and summer is almost here! Today we are taking you back to a beautiful spring wedding we shot in Northeast Ohio at the end of April. Emily and David have now been newlyweds for a little over a month!

Late last summer, with only weeks to go before a planned September wedding, we received a text from Alex that wasn’t too surprising given the circumstances of the year. It was a text similar to many of our couples’ notes to us from last year: Something along the lines of, “I’m so sorry, we are going to have to postpone the wedding.” Immediately, we blamed the pandemic, but Alex gently and courageously told us the reality of the decision.
