Happy Wedding Wednesday!! Today I am sharing Kari & Cullen’s beautiful outdoor lakeside wedding on the blog. What a joy it has been to get to know these two and be their wedding photographer!
When I first met Kari & Cullen for coffee to talk wedding photography details, I instantly loved them. They are just so sweet and so genuine! I ended with telling them (as I do all my couples) to just let me know if they had any more questions for me and if they would like to book or if they decide to go with a different photographer. Kari, looked at me as if I were crazy and said, “Oh no. I did my research. I want you to be our photographer.” Told you I loved them! haha! But honestly, what an honor! And I love a gal who does her homework!
Kari did not disappoint on the details end. This girl knows what she wants and she brought her wedding dreams to life! We loved the unique color scheme she chose. We would have never thought to combine blues and purples with yellow! It turned out to be so pretty! From the centerpieces to the smores bar, everything was perfect!
Kari and Cullen were married at Cheers Chalet in Lancaster, Ohio on a gorgeous sunny end of summer day. The weather had been insanely hot all week but dipped down just enough on Saturday to make the day feel absolutely perfect. Kari made such a beautiful bride and Cullen looked so handsome all dressed up in his tux!
Kari recently graduated from nursing school and had asked me to take some photos to commemorate this huge accomplishment. When she pulled out her cap, my eyes became so blurry, I had to take a second to compose myself before continuing the shoot. Kari’s cap read, “I do not walk alone,” in memory of her mother and her grandmother. As Kari’s father and grandfather walked her down the aisle, I couldn’t help but remember those words from her graduation cap. Kari, you were surrounded by so much love from here and from up above on your wedding day.
We have to give a shout out to Zach, the man of honor, for helping us out so much! He corralled the wedding party and wedding guests for photos and he even fluffed Kari’s veil for some shots!
When we saw that Cullen had chosen his dad to be his best man, we loved him even more than we already did. His dad’s speech had everyone in tears!
Kari and Cullen danced the night away at their reception with their family and friends! We are sharing all of our favorites from their wedding day below. Thank you both so much for having us as your photographers!
