Wedding Wednesday! Today I am sharing Hannah and Matt’s engagement session with you! Oh my goodness, this world can be so crazy small sometimes. I had known of Hannah from the ice rink- she went to Ohio State and skated there, where I had directed some shows! We were facebook friends but had never really met. Here’s the crazy part: Remember Lainey & Matias? I shot their wedding a couple of weeks ago and they will be on the blog next week! Hannah is Matias’ cousin and contacted me after seeing their engagement photos!
I was finally able to formally meet Hannah and Matt at Lainey and Matias’ wedding. Hannah is going to law school out of state right now and Matt is also out of the state working. These two both attended Ohio State for their undergrad and that’s where it all began!
I loved hearing Hannah talk about when they first met. She said she did not like Matt at first! I thought this was so funny because I didn’t like my husband at first either! When she met Matt a second time though, things changed. They both became interested in each other, but Matt wasn’t sure how to make the right move. Hannah ended up asking Matt to see a movie with her for over a week straight and Matt did not catch on! Finally when their group of friends was together, they found a way to get them to sit next to each other. Matt, ya may not have been so smooth at first, but looks like you finally figured it out! Guys, look at this ring!
Since Hannah and Matt are both out of the state, we decided to shoot their engagement photos the morning after Lainey and Matias’ wedding, a sunrise session at that! We met on Ohio State’s campus at 6:30AM.. I’m not sure how we did this and how Hannah and Matt both managed to look so amazingly beautiful, like they had a full eight hours of sleep, but we pulled it off! You other photographers know that you feel like you’ve been hit by a truck the day after a wedding haha! I went to Capital and I have never ever explored Ohio State’s campus until this engagement session. We walked all over campus! I feel like I finally got my tour!
We made sure to stop and get some photos with the tower in the distance where Hannah and Matt met. Despite the early hour, this engagement session was so perfect!
These two are tying the knot next summer in Cleveland and I cannot wait to finally shoot at the Arcade!! They are making my Cleveland photographer dreams come true!
