Wedding Wednesday. The best day of the week. And today's wedding is so special for me to share because it is my sweet friend's! When Sheila asked me to be her and Kevin's wedding photographer, I seriously had tears. It was such an honor for me to be there on their big day.
Sheila and Kevin were glowing with JOY on this hot hot hot Sunday in mid-July. They married at So Serene in Wapakoneta. This venue is so beautiful. You feel like you're in a different state once you're at the venue, but the drive in and drive out are all cornfields! It's almost comical, but it was a dream to shoot at this venue!
There was not a single part of this day that wasn't meaningful. From the officiant to the caterer to the cake baker/decorator, Sheila and Kevin had personal connections to these vendors. Sheila carried her loved ones who had passed on to heaven on her bouquet. They played her pawpaw's country music. They chose to marry at 4:32pm because they had worked together on House Bill 432. The red, white, and blue details of the day were perfect for their Ohio Statehouse love story. It was all so perfectly planned (And if you know Sheila, this makes sense!!)
Sheila was unbelievably breathtaking in her wedding gown. Kevin's reaction to his bride walking down the aisle was so amazing! This moment and their impromptu dancing post-ceremony were a couple of my favorite moments from the day.
Sheila and Kevin, you guys are MARRIED! I am so happy for you and loved being there to photograph your wedding day. Thanks again for putting up with my just ones mores, KB. I promise they were worth it. Here are some of my favorites from your PERFECT wedding day!
